Media release 27 January 2012

Rosylin Radha Singh

Registered Nurse of Auckland

The Nursing Council has suspended the practising certificate of Rosylin Radha Singh under section 69)1)(a)(ii) of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (‘the Act’) on the grounds that Ms Singh is alleged to have engaged in conduct that casts doubt on the appropriateness of her conduct in her professional capacity.

The alleged conduct that is the subject of a Professional Conduct Committee investigation is that Ms Singh practised while suspended from practice following her suspension imposed by the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal and altered an annual practising certificate to allow her to practise while suspended.

Ms Singh’s annual practising certificate is suspended until such time as the Council is satisfied that appropriateness of her conduct is no longer in doubt or that Ms Singh will not be charged as a result of the Professional Conduct Committee’s investigation.

This notice is published under section 157(1)(a) to (c) of the Act.
