The Nursing Council of New Zealand wish to
express our aroha and sorrow to whānau, family and friends who have lost loved
ones in the Whakaari/White Island tragedy, and to those badly hurt and their
loved ones. Our thoughts are with you.
We would like to acknowledge and thank the first
responders, emergency staff, the many nurses, surgeons, doctors, police, and
other healthcare professionals from around New Zealand for their continued dedication
during this difficult time. We also
acknowledge and thank our communities for their aroha, support and donations.
