Providing feedback on proposed EN & RN competencies
The proposed EN and RN competencies represent the standard of knowledge and skills expected of nurses. In each scope, they set out for nurses, patients, and the public what enrolled nurses and registered nurses know and can do when they join the Nursing Council’s register.
Consultation will open later this week and, when it does, you will be able to find the consultation documents and how to respond on
this page.

Te Whatu Ora wants to hear from nurses about what might help, and what makes it difficult, to train and practice as a nurse practitioner. If you are already a nurse practitioner, they are also keen to know your thoughts.
If you are interested in taking part in a survey on training pathways to become a nurse practitioner, please enter
https://surveys.malatest-intl.com/s3/Nurse-Practitioner-Training-Programme-Survey into your browser or scan the QR code by 22 December.
