Consultation on the Code of Conduct for nurses

This consultation is now closed. All feedback will be analysed and considered before final decisions are made by the Council.

We are seeking your views

The Nursing Council is consulting on proposed revisions to the Code of Conduct for nurses. The Code of Conduct sets the professional standards guiding safe, ethical, and culturally responsive care.

What’s available to help you consider the proposals:

• The draft revised Code of Conduct.
• The consultation document – a brief overview of the proposed changes and how to make a submission.
• A background document which provides context for the proposed changes.

How to provide feedback

You can:

• complete an anonymous online survey, or
• provide detailed feedback using our submission template (download as Word document)
